Designed for press photographers by press photographers - The Press Photographer's Year
is unique.
It is the only competition that both recognises and showcases the outstanding press photography taken for the UK news media and now celebrates its sixth year.
The jury spent many hours, working through nearly 8,000 photographs, both in slideshow form, and as
C-type prints, laid on the huge Olivier foyer floor at the National Theatre.
A final edit of 136 photographs has been made and 15 prizes have been awarded.
The results page lists the individual winners and also links to a slideshow of the complete edit that will feature in the exhibition at the National Theatre from 18th July until 4th September 2011.
