The Jury

Our jurors are all photographers who have made a unique contribution to our industry.

The jury will view the submissions, both as a slide show, and as hard copy prints. The identity of the photographer will not be revealed until after the final selections have been made.

The jury will select a complete edit of photographs that together represent the very best of press photography. They will also award 'First' prizes in the fourteen categories, and select a 'Photograph of the Year'.

All the 150 or so images selected are considered finalists. This edit will become "The Press Photographer's Year 2011" and will be exhibited at the National Theatre in London.
