Rosie Hallam
Winner of The Press Photographer’s Year Photograph of the Year in 2009, Rosie has worked for national newspapers and magazines since 1997. She's currently shooting features for the FT Weekend Magazine as well as working on her own projects. She has also built up a strong corporate clientele.
Rosie has covered an enormous number and variety of assignments over the years, both locally & around the world: Refugees returning from Malawi to Mozambique at the end of the war, the work of the International Commission for Missing Persons in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Romania’s entry into the EU, an elephant orphanage in Kenya and A Day in the Life of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, to name but a few.
Her work featured in The BPPA’s re-launch project UNSEEN in 2003 and in their bestselling book Five Thousand Days published in 2004. She also made the final edit of The Press Photographer’s Year in 2006 and 2007 and was published in the accompanying books Assignments and Assignments 2 and in the exhibitions at the National Theatre.
